Typical PowerPro Configuration

Here we see one possible PowerPro configuration.  This configuration can be scaled up or down based on your needs.

Typically, the Sales Counter terminals will utilize Bar Code Scanners (optional) and a Cash Drawer (optional).  Additionally, the MicroFiche Interface Module allows PowerPro to interface with Parts Manager Pro, PartSmart, HLSM, and FicheFinder.  The Electronic Purchasing Module interfaces with Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Arctic Cat, Parts Unlimited, Tucker Rocky and Western Power Sports.

Typical PowerPro Configuration (Multi-User)

Ideally, the PowerPro Server should be at least a Pentium 4, 1GHz system with 500M of RAM running either Windows 2000 or Higher, and NTFS (NT File System).  This machine can also be used as a PowerPro terminal if necessary.  For better reliability, we recommend the server be a name brand system such as IBM, Dell, HP, or Compaq.

The other terminals can be low-end Pentium II 200MHz systems with 250M of RAM running Windows 2000 or higher.  More powerful computers should be used for those systems that will also run PartSmart, PartsManagerPro, HLSM or FicheFinder.

You will need at least one laser printer for invoices and daily reports.  If you utilize the F&I Module (highly recommended), we suggest the F&I printer be an OkiData 390 or OkiData 320.

PowerPro can also run under a Terminal Services configuration.  This is useful when you have 20+ users or you would like to service multiple locations from a single system.

If you have several Dealerships with potentially 100's of users, and need to link them together, PowerPro DMS can help!  When PowerPro DMS is setup in this fashion, users can be located anywhere in the world!  All you need is a computer/laptop and an internet connection.  For more information, please give us a call.

Let PowerPro help propel your dealership into The 21st Century.

Extensibility
Extensibility is one very important consideration when evaluating any Dealer Management System.  As it's name implies, this characteristic deals with extending or expanding a product's capabilities.

Questions to ask include:
1)
How easily is the application enhanced?

2) Are new features, reports and queries easily incorporated into the system?

3) Is the vendor willing to listen to your requests and incorporate them into the product?
